Hi, my name is Kristen Sheley, and this is my web page on the Back to the Future film series. In creating this page, I hope to supply other Future fans out there with things on this beloved trilogy that they may not find anywhere else -- including rare pictures, little-known information, and original photographs, essays, and fan fiction!

FINALLY!!! Partners in Time #4: Family Matters is out now, and available for purchase at: my publisher's website, Amazon.com, and the website of Barnes & Noble! One can probably order it from a few other places, too, as well as the local bookstore!

I will be doing a book event, including a reading from PIT4, a Q&A, and a booksigning, on SATURDAY, AUG 16, 2008 at GARDEN HOME REC CENTER in PORTLAND, OREGON! (Go here for more details!) Later this fall, I will do a similar event in the Sacramento, CA region.

I began PIT5 on July 13th, 2008. It's coming along well when I sit down to write.

HVC6 is moving in fits and starts around PIT-related writing and revision. I am hoping to get it done in the summer months eventually. A "sneak peek" is now up here.

My first novel, Partners in Time #1: No Time Like the Present is now out and available to order, through my publisher's website or through the websites of Barnes and Noble, Amazon.com, BooksAMillion.com, WalMart.com, Borders.com, and Buy.com. One can also order it online or go in the store and pick up an actual physical copy at Powell's Books, in Portland, Oregon.

My second novel, Partners in Time #2: Going Medieval is now available through my publisher's website and other's, including Amazon.com, B&N.com, BooksAMillion.com, and Borders.com. It can also be ordered from your neighborhood bookstore. If you've read the story, I encourage you to leave feedback in the form of a review at one of the above websites!

My third novel, Partners in Time #3: Future Shock, is now out and available to order through my publisher's website. It is also at Amazon.com, BooksAMillion.com, Powell's Books, Buy.com, and Borders.com.

My fourth novel, Partners in Time #4: Family Matters is out now, and available for purchase at: my publisher's website, Amazon.com, and the website of Barnes & Noble! One can probably order it from a few other places, too, as well as the local bookstore!

THE FUTURE FAN FICTION

  • Kristen's Back to the Future Fanfix: My original and ever-evolving collection of stories can be found here! It includes novellas, novels, vignettes, random short pieces, and even a "what if" miniseries....

  • Mary Jean Holmes' Back to the Future Fan Fiction: If you haven't yet read her work, it is a must. The stories are awesome continuations of the series and written with the utmost professionalism. (No drippy Mary Sues or slash here!)

  • The Back to the Future Fan Fiction Directory: There is a variety of other fanfic out there, and this website is on top of it, having neatly organized everything in an easy-to-navagate way. The webmaster promises regular updates, too!

  • THE FUTURE FILM LOCATION VISITS & CONVENTIONS

  • Sightseeing in Hill Valley: This area contains the photographic evidence from a few days' celebration during the BTTF DVD release in December 2002. Also included are photographs from the historic rail museum in Jamestown, Calif. (taken February 2003), where several of the train-related props are located to this day!

  • A Brief Tour of Famous Hill Valley Homes: This area contains photographs taken of the real-life homes belonging to Marty and Doc ! (These were taken in March 2001.)

  • The FX 2002 Experience: In February 2002, I had the opportunity to visit the FX convention in Orlando, Florida, where BTTF.COM was a main draw with props and actor Tom Wilson! Photos and commentary from that fun weekend can be seen here.

  • ORIGINAL ESSAYS & TRILOGY TRIVIA

  • "The Future That Never Was": Think you know everything about the Back to the Future films? Take a look at this collection of information about versions of Hill Valley -- screenplay drafts -- that never quite made the final cut!

  • The Hill Valley Archives: If you ever need to do some homework or research about Hill Valley's history (or future history!) stop by this area for an up close and personal look at some important documents.

  • The Back to the Future Universe: Where is Hill Valley located? What is Doc Brown's home address? Those answers, and other pertinent information, can be found here!

  • Main Character Profiles: One of the earliest sections of my website -- and one of the first -- were these profiles of the main peeps in the BTTF series.

  • Cut Scenes of the Trilogy: Another early aspect of my website, this contained photos of some cut scenes from the three films. (This was before the DVDs actually had many of these in living, breathing color!)

  • The Character Photo Album,: Also a bit "classic" at this website, an area with photographs from the movie (i.e. like that one picture Doc gave Marty at the end of Back to the Future, Part III)!

  • FUTURE FAN INTERACTION

  • BTTF.COM's Message Board Forum: Want to discuss the series with other fans? Visit the message board at BTTF.COM's website. It's easily the largest and one of the oldest out there.

  • Alternate Strickland's BTTF Message Board: After BTTF.COM, this board probably boasts the largest pool of members and most activity. It also has a forum for fan fiction, which BTTF.COM lacks.

  • OTHERFUTURE WEBSITES...

  • Back to the Future -- BTTF.COM: This website -- a.k.a. "BTTF.COM" -- is easily the most definitive webpage out there. Webmaster Stephen Clark offers rare photos, downloadable screenplays, up-to-the-minute news on BTTF and the stars, and BTTF merchandise. Make it your first stop if you're a fan, and you will not be disappointed.

  • BTTF -- The Movie: Universal Studios established an official website dedicated to BTTF to promote the DVDs. It has a lot of super-cool goodies -- the photos are my favorite aspect -- although I have huge doubts if it will ever really be updated.

  • The Back to the Future Tour: The webmaster of "The Big Waste of Space" has created a nifty website for anyone who has a yen to track down the real-life locations where BTTF was filmed. (I've used it myself when I've done similar self-tours with friends.)

  • Back to the Future: A Trilogy Chronology & Future Features: Future fan Keith Gow runs this well-researched and informative web site. Gow digs deep into the structure of the BTTF films, revealing in-jokes, nitty gritty details, notes on the music/dialog, points of interest, etc. Also located here is his column, "Future Features," which for a time was hosted by BTTF.COM.

  • OTHER WEB DESTINATIONS I RECOMMEND
  • The Michael J. Fox Foundation: My favorite actor Michael J. Fox has established own website with information on both the actor-turned-activitst as well as his foundation for Parkinson's research and ways you can help in the fight for a cure.

  • The Michael J. Fox Database: A regularly updated website that has the latest on what's going on with Fox, as well as photographs, links to other websites, reviews, etc.

  • Le Place De Mike: A French-based fan website, which also boasts a wide variety of photos and some news. (Not updated terribly often, however.)

  • I Love Michael!: Another foreign-based website (Japan), this one has some fantastic photos that need no translation.

  • SHADOWSTAR: The website of Mary Jean Holmes, which boasts not only BTTF fanfic, but fanfic for some other genres, as well as original symphonies and creations for "The Sims."
